Do I need to know how to play?
You can start by exploring a comfortable sound. Tumpeet includes a starting-point check, beginner lessons, and quiet activities for learning notes and fingerings. The curriculum is an original draft awaiting educator review, and the app is designed to accompany your learning.
What instrument is this for?
Tumpeet is built around B♭ trumpet. The app shows written trumpet pitches and accounts for the difference between the written note and the sound your instrument makes.
Can I practice without making a sound?
Yes. Quiet Practice includes reading, fingering, listening, and rhythm activities. It doesn’t require the microphone, and those activities stay separate from measurements of your playing.
Does it work offline?
The app’s lessons, eight original pieces, synthesized reference tones, and on-device practice tools are bundled in the app. No account or internet connection is needed for that practice loop.
Can I download Tumpeet yet?
Tumpeet is currently in development for iPhone running iOS 18 or later. The screens on this site are from the working app. An App Store release date and pricing haven’t been announced.
